The distillery is situated in Montague Gardens, Cape town  

Doña is a craft distillery where we produce and develop innovative and exciting new products such as Gin, Rum, Vodka, Whisky and Non-alcoholic drinks. We are passionate about the whole process and that is why we do everything, from sourcing local raw material to fermenting, distilling, bottling and labeling every product that leaves our distillery. We have won multiple awards for our sprit an we export to Europe and North America.

We combine technology with tradition : Vacuum distilling. This is an more technical way of distilling, not for the faint of heart, but here at Doña this is what we aspire to. Extraordinary!

Vacuum distilling is where a vacuum is created inside the still, and distillation is performed under reduced pressure. As with distillation, this technique separates compounds based on differences in boiling points. Vacuum distillation is used when the boiling point of compounds is difficult to achieve or will cause the compound to decompose. What does this mean? It means we make a kick ass superior product through distilling our product at cold temperatures. This means that the molecules remain unchanged and with that the flavour is fresher and smoother.

Tastings and Tours

We would love for you to come and visit us. We offer tastings and a tour of the distillery for a small fee. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If we are really busy we might just ask you to come and help us bottle.
